The second round began with a big takedown from Carmouche, who quickly moved to mount. She rained down punches until Andrade gave up her back. Carmouche was unable to finish the fight with a rear-naked choke, but she battered Andrade with punches and elbows from mount and back control. The beating continued until referee Herb Dean had seen enough at the 3:57 mark of round two.
